Our scholarships provide exceptional students with financial need the opportunity to pursue their educational goals. Eligibility requirements vary by scholarship and may include admission to a specific institution or program.

Application Timeline

Scholarship applications open annually in December and close in April. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

The 2026 Scholarship Program is now closed.

2026 Scholarship Cycles
The 2026 Scholarship Program includes one application period with two award cycles:

  • July 2026 Awards
    • Funds applied beginning August 2026
  • December 2026 Awards
    • Funds applied beginning February 1, 2027

Selection Process: All applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee through a fair and thorough evaluation process based on scholarship criteria and eligibility requirements.

Scholarship Eligibility

To apply, applicants must:

  • Be between the ages of 17–25
  • Demonstrate a passion for Latin music
  • Demonstrate talent, and commitment to pursuing a degree in music
  • Demonstrate financial limitations
  • Be admitted to a college or university music program (an acceptance letter or proof of acceptance is required)
  • Submit a complete online application by the stated deadline

Noel Schajris Scholarship

Berklee College of Music (Fall 2026)
A scholarship award valued at $250,000 that covers four-year bachelor’s degree tuition, room & board and wrap around services provided by the Foundation. Requirement: Admission to Berklee College of Music (prior acceptance required).

Frost School of Music Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation Scholarship

University of Miami (Fall 2026)
A scholarship award ranging between $32,000 and $250,000 that covers four-year tuition, plus wrap around services provided by the Foundation
Requirement: Admission to the Frost School of Music (acceptance letter required).

Berklee & Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation Emerging Talent Scholarship

Berklee College of Music (Fall 2026)
A scholarhsip award valued at $275,000 that covers tuition, fees, required laptop & software (freshman year), on-campus housing, and wrap around services provided by the Foundation. Requirement: Admission to Berklee (acceptance letter required). Note: Replaces any prior Berklee aid.

Gifted Tuition Scholarship

Kanny Garcia Scholarship

  • Accredited institution of choice (Fall 2026)
  • One scholarship with wrap around services awards up to $120,000 to cover four-year tuition, housing, meal plan, and wrap around services provided by the Foundation.
  • Requirement: Admission to a four-year music degree program (acceptance letter required).

Manolo Díaz Scholarship

  • Accredited institution of choice (Fall 2026)
  • One scholarship with wrap around services awards up to $120,000 to cover four-year tuition, housing, and meal plan, and wrap around services provided by the foundation..
  • Requirement: Admission to a four-year music degree program (acceptance letter required).

Celia Cruz Legacy Scholarship

  • Accredited institution of choice (Fall 2026)
  • One scholarship with wrap around services awards up to $120,000 to cover s four-year tuition, housing, and meal plan, and wrap around services provided by the Foundation.
  • Requirement: Admission to a four-year music degree program (acceptance letter required).

Tuition Assistance Scholarship

Tuition Assistance Scholarship presented by Bulova

A scholarship with wrap around services awards up $10,000 that covers tuition and wrap around services provided by the Foundation. In addition, Bulova funds an educational experience for the scholarship recipient during the Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards (November 2026). Requirement: Admission to or enrollment in a music degree program (acceptance letter required).

Tuition Assistance Scholarships presented by Gibson Gives

Three scholarships with wrap around services awards of up to $12,500 each to cover tuition and wrap around services offered by the Foundation. In addition, Gibson provides either a Gibson Epiphone, a Kramer, a Tobias guitar or a bass. Requirement: Admission to or enrollment in a music degree program (acceptance letter required).

Tuition Assistance Scholarships

Multiple scholarships with wrap around services ranging from $7,500–$12,500 each that helps cover tuition costs and wrap around services proided by the Foundation, not covered by other aid. Requirement: Admission to or enrollment in a music degree program (acceptance letter required).
