Latin Music Educator Award

Behind every student success story is an inspiring educator. Great educators do more than teach music—they inspire curiosity, creativity, and cultural pride.
The Latin Music Educator Award honors an outstanding Kindergarten to 12th grade (the final year of high school) music educator who uses Latin music to enrich learning and connect students to its enduring cultural heritage
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a current full-time Kindergarten to 12th grade music educator at a public, private, or charter school.
- Demonstrate meaningful integration of Latin music and culture into their teaching.
- Teach in Spanish, Portuguese, English, or another native language or dialect.
Not Eligible:
- After-school or private studio instructors
- Educators planning to retire during the current school year.
Award Presentation
Honored during Latin GRAMMY Week® , the recipient receives an all-expense-paid trip for themselves and one guest to attend the Latin GRAMMY Special Awards® where the award is bestowed, as well as the Latin GRAMMY Awards® show. To extend the educator’s impact, the recipient’s school also receives a $10,000 musical instrument grant to enhance its music program and support future generations of students.

- November 2026 - Recipient Honored at the Special Awards Presentation in Las Vegas and receives two tickets to the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards® on November 12, 2026.
